Rhythmicon – Future Garage [Mixset]

” Short, sweet, deep and almost all released content for a change of pace; I thought it would be fun to put together a mix paying homage to some of the upbeat, double time, and garage-style roots of dubstep.
“Future Garage” opens up with Submerse’s lush take on the classic “Aquatic Ambience”. We then step forward into smooth vocal territory with Pangea’s “You and I” followed by a huge tune that hits close to home, Martyn’s “Vancouver”. It then breaks down with a nice long mix into Matt U’s refix of DJ Madd’s “Numbers”. Lush pads and snappy beats proceed with 2562’s “Embrace”, followed with the lighthearted “Time Keeper” by Clouds’. Next come the bongos. Prepare for a percussive overload with a massive mashup of 2562’s “Channel One” with Ramadanman’s “Blimey”. The mix comes to a close with one of my favorite releases of last year, Pangea’s “Router”; a tune I believe opened many people to the potential depth of future bass music.
Thank you so much for your listening time. Comments, heckling and suggestions for improvement and are always welcome!
Much respect,
Rhythmicon

Nice to see another local with a similar perspective, probing the depths… heading to the days of deep dark tonology and a click on the three, where the sound pressure levels in a room take care of the rest. Respect.
